This Privacy Policy explains how Hajzi ("we", "us") collects, uses, and protects information when you use hajzi.me and the Hajzi app (the "Service") to discover restaurants and make reservations in Syria.

1. Information we collect

Reservation details. When you book a table as a guest or a registered user, we collect your name, phone number, and (if provided) email address, along with the date, time, and party size of your reservation.
Account information. If you create an account, we store your name, phone number, email, and saved venues.
Restaurant partner information. If you sign up a venue or manage one on Hajzi, we collect the business details, contact information, and staff accounts needed to operate the listing.
Usage and device data. We use Google Analytics (GA4) to understand how the Service is used - pages visited, searches made, and general device/browser information. This is anonymized aggregate data, not tied to your reservation details.
Communications. If you contact us, or a restaurant contacts you about a booking (including via WhatsApp), we may keep a record of that communication.

2. How we use this information

To create, confirm, and manage your reservations.
To send booking confirmations and reminders, including via SMS or WhatsApp.
To share your reservation details with the specific restaurant you booked, so they can prepare for your visit.
To operate, maintain, and improve the Service, including through aggregated, anonymized analytics.
To respond to support requests and enforce our Terms of Use.

3. How we share information

We do not sell your personal information. We share it only:

With the restaurant you make a reservation with, limited to what they need to honor that booking.
With service providers who help us run the Service (e.g. hosting, analytics, SMS/WhatsApp messaging), bound to use it only for that purpose.
When required by law, or to protect the rights, safety, or property of Hajzi, our users, or the public.

4. Cookies

We use cookies and similar technologies to keep you signed in, remember your language preference, and understand how the Service is used through Google Analytics. You can control cookies through your browser settings; disabling them may affect parts of the Service.

5. Data retention

We keep reservation and account information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service, resolve disputes, and meet legal obligations. You can ask us to delete your account and associated data at any time (see Section 7).

6. Data security

We take reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

7. Your rights and choices

You can review and update your account information at any time from your Account page. To request a copy of your data, or to request that we delete your account and personal information, contact us at +963 939 675 529.

8. Children's privacy

The Service is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them.

9. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will update the "Last updated" date above when we do, and significant changes will be noted on this page.
